So i took a chance and it errored out, now i have dead apim, tried reset, have not tried ids programmable module installation yet, as i do not have a sync 3 car here, but wondering if there is anything else i can try with forescan? I noticed the last two current versions are not showing, see pics. there doesn't appear to be an option to program one thing at a time either.

PS any update on a full working version for firmware or is that still a long time away?

I have a failure too it stopped in the middle.

What i did was just write the illumination file by itself. It took it ok and problem solved.

ill try that also having problems getting files, i also think I am using an older beta of 2.4.0 mine says its test 20190909, someone mentioned there is a newer version, can someone email that to me on here or give me a link to it? that might be part of my issues.

the illumination file is which one? in my version of forescan it doesn't say illumination anywhere, the two options for ECU configuration are base and sound.

I’m also wanting to do this, and I have the obdlink ex and have purchased a lifetime extended license. Before I attempt this, I’d like to know that someone has done it.

APIM Upgrade is at this point NOT supported by Forscan 2.40.X
You have to read the text from Forscan team which is deployed with the file.
It clearly says NO APIM Update.

You have to wait until its official supported in another Beta or the final Version 2.40

I have strange situation, trying to update firmware of APIM according cyanlabs description:
1. download
2. test run SBL
3. PROBLEM - should be program, but this button is invisible after above procedure

is it some new bug? any ideas how how to solve problem?

In Sync menu you can make a master reset of all settings.
