rear view camera c-max 2014 sync1

Post by Sebneness »

hello, I am having problems activating my rear view camera on my 2014 c-max, equipped with the GPS screen. I connected the camera to the screen with a farkra cable, but impossible to configure the APIM with FORSCAN, I have ASBUILT DATA with a c-max which has the camera.
someone would have a solution to offer me
thank you

Did you connected the camera directly to the screen or to the module in the back ?

The camera plug is the one underneath witch is alone and the blue fakra is for gps however if you connect the camera directly you should use a jumper harness like this
https://www.4dtech.com/ford-camera-inpu ... -4-screen/
There’s much cheaper of course and after you can activate it.

I contacted 4D-tech, according to one of their technicians not compatible with my 5 '' screen
Part number of my screen EM5T-18B955-DA.
do you think a 5 '' Fiesta mk7 screen would work,

Not sure,it will not be detected due to software incompatibility issue.
If I understand you have connected the video+ and the video- to the screen through the facra adaptor but for the the camera + and - how and when did you connected them?
You can also check out if there’s video signal with a small tv screen and after that you can just activate it on apim.

hello, according to what I could read on the net, my screen would not be compatible, it is necessary to add an interface. or I try to connect directly to the connector on the screen at terminal 2 and 3, like on a kuga from the same years. I will check that I have 75 ohms between the terminals, as shown in the 4D-tech video

Give it a try,i had a 5´screen like you without a camera but since I swapped it with sync 3 i added a rear camera witch is plugged directly in apim (pin 14 & 15) through a harness a made my self,it’s a little bit different.
