Obdlink Ex with bluetooth

Post by antdanjim »

Hi. I have an OBDLink EX adapter which works great with my laptop. I was wondering if I had a USB OTG cable would I be able to connect the Ex to my Android phone through this & use a bluetooth app. If not, is there any other way I could use the EX to connect via bluetooth. Thanks.

Just realised I could use the charging cable that came with the phone, plug usb end into a female to female adapter & then plug usb from EX into the other female & there would be a physical link from van obd socket to phone. Just not sure if the bluetooth would work or if it may damage phone.
