Does it crash if you don't install an extended license?

Do you use Galletto app?

This is known problem - Galletto installs its custom FTDI driver (ftd2xx.dll) into the Windows system directory. FORScan tries to use this driver and the driver crashes. It is not necessary to remove Galletto, just copy "right" ftd2xx.dll to the FORScan folder (near the FORScan.exe). You can download it from the FTDi site or from our site:

http://forscan.org/download/ftd2xx.zip

We do not include it in the distributive and also do not use static compilation because system driver may be newer or, vice versa, older (some clones use counterfeit FTDI chips that do now work with new drivers etc).
