Hello. I have a 2013 F-150 with the 5.0 engine and 6R80 transmission. When the transmission malfunctioned due to a broken lead frame assembly, no software had been released to stop a sudden downshift. My Ford dealer repaired the transmission the right way, with an updated assembly, and returned the vehicle.
Now I'm getting notices in the mail that they'd like to update my PCM to prevent the sudden downshift. I'd rather do the update myself if possible.
Is it possible to download an update for recall 19S07 and use FORScan to apply it?

IMNSHO you're asking the right question. I had to go to the dealer twice for the same "repair" flash b/c they used the wrong program the first time. And since the "repair" my transmission has sucked apple butter. It's a crappy halfazzed attempt at a repair that they won't address or rectify, don't let them do it if you don't have to.
