Looking for some wisdom on my current situation. The ELM327 I got from Amazon this week, will connect to Forscan through Bluetooth without issue...but will only connect to my 2006 Explorer (v6) ECM. Though it connects via bluetooth, it will not connect to my 2002 Explorer or 2003 Mazda Tribute (both v6).
Because the adapter connects and reads my 2006, it does not seem faulty. If additional technical data is needed, please ask.
Any assistance to over come the issues with connecting to and reading my other vehicles is appreciated.

Re: Elm327 Scans 2006 Explorer but not 2002 Explorer
Original ELM327 and good clones have 3 independent circuits: CAN, ISO and J1850m, below is a fragment from ELM327 datasheet with corresponding inputs marked in red by us:
Considering that:
2006 Explorer EB AWD 4.0V6 - has PCM on CAN
2003 Mazda Tribute 3.0V6 - has PCM on ISO
2002 Explorer XLT 4.0V6 - has PCM on J1850PWM
we come to the conclusion that your adapter seems to have CAN, but no ISO and J1850PWM circuits.
