What ELM are you using? Are you keeping the battery up? Why are resetting the gem?
Are there DTC codes?

picked up these DTCs after making my MScan switch.
all are reported in the GEM module, and FORScan wont let me reset the GEM

You must repair these faults. Then you can clear them. Resetting is not the way.

thank you for the link, but it applies to a Escape 2WD L4-2.5L (2009) and mine is a 2006 XLT 4WD V6. however, I have read this, and have no electrical issues with the car such as the turn signal, or the drivers door lock.

GEM DTC's

b1342
b1983
b106e

are listed in FORScan as "previously set, not present at time of request"

because these are leftover DTC's not present at time of testing I want to reset my GEM so it can pick up any valid DTC's I might have.

when I replaced my PCM in Feb it tripped a lot of warning lights and DTC's because it was shipped with the old DTC's from the fusion it came out of. I had DTC's for lights, SJB, Battery, COILS, no 4x4 module data present in PCM, vehicle mismatch, and on and on.
at the time I cleared all the DTC's on the HScan so I could get only current DTC,s which were the correct ones for an O2 sensor, and CAT system inefficiency.
I want to do the same for the GEM if at all possable

Hello!

What was the fix to your faults?

I found this person https://www.justanswer.com/ford/qjokl-c ... -chat.html having two of the same faults on their 2006 Ford Escape, and I am also having these codes on my 2006, even after replacing the SJB (GEM).

Hello,

I replaced my GEM module and the message disappeared after clear it. But I take this gem module on the car without air conditioning and now the AC light doesn't work. Do you know if it fixable by reprogramming the GEM module?

Thanks in advance.
