My car is a 2016 mkz full option car and it is a model before facelift.
This is my question.
1. From model year 17, the speedometer appears in the center instead of on the right instrument panel. Can I use that function with a firmware update?
2. Also, if I update the firmware, will other functions work without any problems?
3. If possible, can you tell me which items need to be updated?
4. Can I activate the adaptive cruise control stop & go, which is available from model year 17?
5. When using the sport mode (S button), it automatically shifts at high RPM. Can I set it to not shift automatically?
6. If you need to provide information about my vehicle, please leave a comment and I will provide it.
<My equipment>
The rig I'm using is a VXDIAG VCX 2in1 and supports Ford ids. In fact, there is a fact that I updated the official firmware using IDS through this device 2 years ago. (ecu mapping support)

Re: I want a central speedometer. (+and more)
Hi,
I dont know exactly whats a mkz, but in EU I know aboutn this from Mondeo (Taurus etc.)
Yes, there is a newer Firmware with Speedometer in the Middle.
As I know all other functions are not touched.
ACC is not accessable via klick and go. You need the radar Module to do this.
Maybe you can m"Rape" your Park Module for mthis action.
If you have active parking in Mondeo you can swap the weel switch and activate the acc.
maybe it works for you too.
Best regards
Karsten
