By any chance did you generate the licence with FORScan "running as administrator" in Windows 10 and this could be possible also in Windows 11?

Windows 10 and FORScan have a quirk involving the the User Accounts where FORScan running under Administrator privileges(Right Click and Click "Run as Administrator) has a different Hardware ID than FORScan Running under Normal User privileges!

Can't say for sure if this carried over into Windows 11 as I don't have a machine running Windows 11 but it would not surprise me!

In widows 10, If the license was generated in FORScan with the Hardware ID that appears while running under the Administrator privileges the license must be installed with administrator privileges and FORScan must always be run with administrator privileges in order to be running as licensed!

If the License was generated while FORscan was run as normal user then the license must be installed while running under that normal users account! This only happens in windows 10 or possibly above! It does not occur in windows 7 or in windows 8-8.1(I have checked both)!

Find your FORScanlicense.key file, where ever you saved it, and open it in Note Pad ( it should open as a normal text file and check mark the Word Wrap command under the "Format" Tab to set the text in normal text lines instead of one long string) ! Find The line containing the Hardware ID which starts at "Id" ="( 00XX0X0X-0XX0 yours will contain actual numbers and letters)" and that string must match one of the Hardware IDs that either of the two user accounts show as Hardware IDs in the About icon under "Standard license" Hardware ID: ( Open the Steering Wheel Icon)!

What ever hardware ID that you see in the About icon, Standard Licence. Hardware ID: in either of those user or admin privileged accounts that matches the string in the License.key file is the account you must use to install the license!

If neither matches then you have somehow generated the license using a hardware ID that is not part of your install!
