APIM Bricked?

Post by Rob916 »

Let me give a bit of background on my vehicle first before I get to the issue at hand.

Vehicle: 2017 Ford Fusion SE with OEM Sync3 (non-nav)

Shortly after I bought the vehicle in 2020 I replaced the non-nav 8GB data board in my APIM with a 32GB Nav version and then used Cyanlabs to update to 3.4. Everything has been working great over the past couple of years. Last night I decided to update the firmware in the APIM to prepare for the replacement 2022 ACM I have in order to get the newer SiriusXM hardware. Well, the update did not go as planned and now the APIM is not coming on. forscan appears to be still able to address the APIM and it does show the hardware version when I scan the vehicle however no matter what I try. What I'm thinking is that it was trying to install calibration files for the non-nav APIM and not files compatible with 3.4? What can I do to find the correct calibration files that may bring it back to life? I have no clue what year or model the 32G data board came from since it was ordered from Opuradio a couple of years ago.
