I have a JDM Mazda Atenza or like Mazda 6 from 2008 - push button start and it keeps loosing key info. ( i bought it this way)
I cannot force on the ignition as it can't be turned and Forscan cannot communicate with the PCM etc without dash/ignition on.....
I see other scan tools have a function to force on ignition but>>> I don't have those.
Please please suggestions?
The main relay I can jump but still no ignition lights on etc

If this model has push-to-start only and NO key blade, press the ignition fob onto the push-to-start and try.
If it does turn on the dash lamps or start, replace the battery inside the ignition fob.
If you can connect with FORScan, save the faults and post them, clear the faults and try again to see what faults return.
If this model has a key blade, look to see if a remote start was installed and disconnect the system.
Test the key for PATS programming. Two keys are required.
If it does not rotate, replace the mechanical switch.
If there is no remote start installed, test the ignition switch signals using a wiring schematic.

Cheers for reply BUT.................
Its got a key blade and chip which you can insert to ignition BUT tere is no function to turn even when car was BRAND new as all you can do is insert the key.
Forscan cannot connect cause ignition not on etc.
I forced on the main relay and nothing changes.
I found this..
https://www.mazda3tech.com/forced_ignit ... -1126.html
if anyones done or knows more? Can I power something up via a wire etc to force ignition on? I can't even find a wiring diagram that may relate to this car.
Seems the RFID chips get faulty and needs reprogramming and or new chips etc but again I cannot communicate to the car due to "no ignition on ability"

Check with Mazda and see if they have a Technical Service Bulletin for that problem.
FORScan is not going to help with that type of key.
Bypassing relays or wires is NOT a good idea unless your are trained to understand the engine management system with the immobilizer.
This tool is a quick test to indicate the immobilizer coil is active, it does NOT test the key.
A bright LED will flash once when the key is inserted. Dealer equipment may be required to enable the status of the ignition, install keys and possible perform a flash update.

Well some progress on this car - replaced RKE module and had a Locksmith "program keys" tho it seems he didn't actually add key but ignition DOES turn on.
Seems Forscan can't gain security access to PATS and looking into it, it may need an online account with Mazda and a dealer tool? Or did the locksmith just not follow the procedure correctly on his Autel.....
Any suggestions on a tool that can program this 2008 on Mazda Push button start keys and gain security access to PATS?

Hello
You can force ignition on via Mazda MDS - available in Aliexpress, costs around 90-100USD.
I had the same issue and I didnt find the solution.
Now i have Mazda MDS always in the car and when the car is blocked i just force the ignition, erase DTCs and go on.
Last time i have notice, that when you cannot start the car(push button not responding) for 1-2 times, you have to get out of the car, lock it, unlock it again and then you have the green key again.

UPDATE
RKE was faulty n seems a common issue - replaced it and had dealer program the used unit to car.
No idea if or how Forscan could do it - locksmith gave a dealer that could do the task.
Starnge thing also the remote would work and not work n work.... key was fine
Sold that car long ago etc
