I broke the ultimate rule "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" by attempting to upgrade firmware on ABS module.

This is a screenshot I grabbed after failure, should have snapped one before...

Full log attached also but this is the log for first failed flash of ABS module

As a last resort I tried recovery flash without checksum check, and then disconnected the ABS module and reconnected it when prompted to.
Logs will show same results for multiple attempts. Flashing previous version also did not work.

Any thoughts on recovering this ABS module?
I have tried to program all available options, including the factory, and none of them complete.
Loading blocks 1-5,7 complete pretty fast and 6 takes the most time to complete.
Skipping checksum verification does not work either although I am not sure if checksum error is for that.

Going to look for a used ABS module meanwhile as driving the car with no ABS, speedo, and what feels like 50% throttle max is no fun.

Never mind, I got it now.

Flashing SBL, Strategu, and ECU Configuration all at the same time seems to fail. After flashing to latest available firmware and receiving a failure, I flashed Custom with latest SBL and ECU Configuration selected. Checked recovery, skip checksum, and unchecked force flash of same VBFs. This was very quick and flashed with no issue. Car restarted and everything is back to normal.

I must have missed a note somewhere that some modules require separate ECU configuration flash.

News to me, but I'll keep it in mind for future troubleshooting.

When flashing custom where did you get the latest SBL and ECU config. ? I’m currently in the same boat right now with a 2013 Fiesta.
