Help! IPMA Update Failure

Post by Finished0112 »

Hello fellow FORScan'ers,

I hope you are all doing well!

I updated today all modules in my 2014 Lincoln MKZ (Preferred PKG 2) with no issues except for IPMA -- which now results to non functioning Lane Assist, Parking Assist, and something else that I forgot.

I tried to revert back to the Factory one but the same thing one it reaches the 4th ECU Configuration/Base DS7T-14G081-DG/DE it results in "[Loading Firmware failed] and [Service Procedure has been interrupted]" due I guess to the loss of Communication with the Front Camera.

I am using FORScan version 2.4.10 beta.

try

1. DA5T-14G021-BA
DS7T-14G019-DL
DS7T-14G024-DP

2. DA5T-14G021-BA
DS7T-14G082-DH

3. DA5T-14G021-BA
DS7T-14G081-DE

Never let the engine run!

if it succeeds and the error code remains, you must also perform a calibration

Have the same issue on my 2014 transit custom sport failed to flash the IPMA, nothing i do in forscan works, and my profiles disappeared when i tried to install a later version so i'm stuck without a backup.

Apparently others are having the same issue with even flashing with FDRS with the VCX Nano on other forums.

Apparently some cables do not perform well with certain devices on FD CAN bus.

I've got FDRS without PATS but to PMI the IPMA from scratch on there you need a PATS licence also (expensive). Just debating whether to take the plunge as the unit isn't bricked as such as its still communication on the CAN BUS but just won't take the flash.
