DPF Regenaration

Good morning. I have a 2006 Mazda 6 GG diesel, 143 hp, and I'd like to know if it's possible to use Forscan to detect when the car is performing a DPF regeneration while traveling, so I can avoid interrupting it while, for example, I stop for lunch or fill up the diesel tank.

It may well be a live data pid you can monitor for example in pcm. Maybe the android/iphone version could useful for that.

HI, I have same need for my Ford Focus IV Tournier 1.5 diesel. As is well known, this car has the problem that the engine oil gets dirty with fuel if you turn off the car while the regeneration is in progress, forcing you to change the oil every 5000-6000 km. I am now using Forscan to monitor if the regeneration is in progress before turning the car off, but I can't figure out which PID to use to do this. Can anyone give me some suggestions? Look for DPF PIDs like:

DPF_DP 9.3 kPa Diesel Particulate Filter Delta Pressure
DPF_LOAD 13.00% DPF System Percentage of the Maximum Soot Loading - Inferred Closed Loop
DPF_SOOT_LD 5.00% DPF System Percentage of the Maximum Soot Loading - Inferred Open Loop

And Temperature PID data (rise of temperatures) will tell you when Regeneration is ongoing

CATEMP11 276 °C Catalyst Temperature Bank 1, Sensor 1
CATEMP12 462 °C Catalyst Temperature Bank 1, Sensor 2
EGR_EGT_TEMP 215 °C EGR/EGT Temperature
EGT12 469 °C Exhaust Gas Temperature 12
