vLinker FS BT problem connecting

Hi,
Bought vLinker FS bluetooth from Amazon ..

First of all, it's not visible in IOS at all, should it?

I tried in windows, yep I can see two devices, the other one ending in 'IOS'. I can pair to the other one, but not connect?
Tried the same with an oldish Android phone, the same thing, it pairs, but does not connect.

I can't upgrade the firmware, because I can not connect to any computer/phone. I've tried five different, iphone, ipad, two laptops (win 10/11), one samsung phone.

Technical support from vLinker is fast, but content is laughable ('press the pairing button', 'set factory settings with long push of the same button' probably a bot?).

Any ideas? Returning the thing to Amazon is not easy.

Remove the deice from bluetooth on all devices, so it can't possibly be connected to one whilst you're trying to set it up on another.
Also make sure you haven't bought a clone device. Clone devices can't be updated according to their instructions.

After three days and everything that could be done they promised to send a new one.
The support required several video clips proving that I do the factory reset etc correctly.
It just pairs, but does not keep connected, just bounces back. Same in windows and android.
Was never visible in iphone nor ipad.
Very old firmware or defective chip?

Got a new one, paired, connected.
Had to upgrade from …18 to …20.
Now it works in ios.

For the vLinker FS BT, you must press the device button until the blue light flashes rapidly before you can locate “vLinker FS XXXXX”.
After pairing successfully, simply open FORScan and set the paired Bluetooth connection.
If using Windows, you need to check the device's port number, open FORScan, and select that port number to connect.
