You can not update to the newest firmware as the hardware numbers are different H1BT-14F169-GE vs H1BT-14F169-GF, under the available calibration menu, select older versions until you get the same hardware ID, that’s the newest calibration you can use that won’t brick your ACM.

I thouht thats not always the case. I have different hardware e.g. partnumbers in my fiesta hvac, sccm. Swapped it out for other hardware after retrofits using the same calibration level.

The second picture shows however the same hardware number. But also here is the last file not available. I even checked the motorcraft site. It found all files but not the AC one. GK is the latest, as soon a pick 1 newer the partnumber changes to GF. Its fine to perform a reflash with the same firmware. If it wont work i will buy a ACM of ebay.

I’m not 100% sure on this but I’m fairly sure if the hardware number is different but the secondary boot loader is the same then you could flash it. In this case the newer firmware also has an extra file, the newer hardware may have a different processor or more flash to hold that extra firmware.

If your fine with buying a new one then try to flash it and if it works great, if not your going to buy a new one anyways.

The forscan guys uploaded the missing ECU files to there server. This was there response regarding the new firmware and partnumber:

More new SBL is most likely used because of additional firmware file required. Anyway, we cannot guarantee it is safe. Note that -GV assy is designed for more new hardware (-GF instead of -GE). Although this hardware is marked as compatible in FORScan, in fact it may be not. Also no guarantee that EEPROM will not be damaged if you roll back from -GV to -GE.

First time it failed at the third strategy file. They adviced to do a custom upload only the files that where failing. This time it flashed succesfully. I can image what a nervous process this is :D:D especially when the whole car gives these sounds and the HVAC led is flashing and you here some sort of valves turning on and off... now i have to wait for a hour turn on the car and see if it works.... what i noticed now in the configuration that there are a lot more options... all disabled but they where not there before... i now flashed it with the original firmware.
