6DCT250 (dps6) Relearn
Working on a friends 2014 fiesta. complained trans slipping shutter in and out of gears. Ran DTS's and car showed no codes? new to this dual clutch I thought that the forks were sticking, Ordered forks had to wait a long time to get them. Dropped trans removed clutch installed new forks. No leaks from seals. Appeared to be wet with sometime of oil on one of the forks, figured someone had tried to lube it. Put back together. Now after putting back together NO Reverse. ran codes got bad TCM code and friction plate B not engaging. Did relearn with launch scanner thinking this needed to be done relearn process completed, without problem. Still no reverse? I previously had redone the grounds also. So I thought Maybe a bad actuator. Switched the actuators codes didn't change. tried redoing relearn, this time it failed. Utubed found relearn with for scan. Saw that for scan vision was not beta. Did relearn with forscan relearn first didn't,t work then after trying again it worked? Still No reverse removed actuator b figuring that maybe TCM was keeping actuator engaged. still no good.I thought I would install beta and update module firmware. I had the battery charger on to have constant electric. I put everything away for the night. not realizing that I had left the key on killing the battery. I turned the charger on and this thing made all sorts of sounds from the actuators module and trans seemed like a lot more action than from the relearn. Hooked back to forscan showed all sorts of DTC's from several of the modules. started the car put it in reverse WOW now I've got reverse. Unhooked computer took it for test drive car shifted perfectly forward and reverse. I'll drive it a few days before returning it. Now I don't know if I should update the firmware or just leave it not opening the can of worms.

Re: 6DCT250 (dps6) Relearn
Sounds like you have had quite the journey and finally got success. At this point if it ain't broke don't fix it. It is advised that you do not do module updates u less you need to in order to fix a problem. It is as you say potentially opening a can of worms and putting yourself back into the situation you just got out of.
