I got a check engine light on my 2012 Ford Fusion SE. Code P0456.
I believe it is because of a common issue with the gas filler cap. I think I addressed the issue and want to retest it. I believe this is by clearing the code. How do I go about doing this? I am a newbie to Forscan. Thank you in advance for your help.
P0456 how to clear code?

To erase codes just click on erase dtc's for that module.
If the fault code comes back right away then the fault is still present.
The gas cap or a bad evap purge valve are the most common causes.
When the purge valve is unplugged it should be internally closed. At this time you should not be able to blow or suck air through the valve from either side. A vacuum test pump/gauge is best for checking for small leaks.
