Dash cluster mileage

Post by Mahanoy94 »

I have a 2011 f250 6.2l. I want to upgrade the cluster to the lariat style. I only have 62k miles on the truck and its near impossible to find a cluster around my mileage and I dont want to pay $350 on ebay. Can I adjust the mileage with forscan? From my understanding you can only go up in mileage not down but how are the ebay sellers doing it?

Correct, Forscan can only increase the mileage in a cluster (IPC). Some eBay sellers list the current mileage. Others may have the equipment to go directly into the eeprom and change mileage (this is not difficult for programmers familiar with this architecture). There are companies that will write any mileage to your cluster for around $100 plus shipping (Google search). They are doing the eeprom write method.
