2022 Maverick digital speedometer from Escape help

Post by foodrules2me »

I swapped one in from a 24 Escape Hybrid to my 22 hybrid and it’s definitely not happy. I have found when writing IPC from either my backup or downloading factory complains about a different number of blocks, but it does allow writing, and looking at the easy mode seems to mostly translate.
Things are more or less working for most things similar to the what I have seen on the Maverick forums where all but the drive modes mostly work, but I get a “Stop safely now” and “service vehicle now” message, even after clearing IPC codes. I also see a gear icon and red car icon with an exclamation point on the right side. Not sure how to clear this last stuff out. Driving seems fine, I don’t notice any weird behaviour except for the warnings and icons. I also don’t see any weird codes. The IPC has a U0146 - Lost Communication With Serial Data Gateway Module 'A', module: Instrument Panel Control Module code, but I think that’s fine since I won’t have the newer comms stuff in a 2022. I don’t have any other codes except for a couple APIM communication errors that existed before as I did a Sync 4 swap months back.

Not sure what else would be helpful to include, happy to add more info, and hopefully I’m posting in the right place. I’d like the swap, but worried about if there are any real issues. Swapping back to the original speedometer does not have the same warnings.

24 escape uses an enhanced gateway module & IPC communicates on 2 networks with the gateway HS3Can & Ethernet.
22 Maverick uses the old style gateway & DLC combo & IPC only communicates on HS3Can.
Since the 22 Maverick does not have any Ethernet capabilities I can't see how you could get it to work properly given your missing a network
