You listed adapters that are not familiar to me. You may have to try the Forscan recommended adapters OBDlink or Vlinker. See the exact recommendations on the Forscan website. It is common for inferior adapters to miss MS CAN modules.

The two Adapters you have listed do not appear to support Medieum Speed Controller Area Network(MSCAN)! Any J2534 Passthru adapter would have to support the J2534-2 protocol for MSCAN support and the Nexiq 3 adapter only lists J2534-1 in partial support so it will very likely not read the MSCAN bus in Ford vehicles!

I cannot find any spec on the SM2 that supports J2534-2 protocol so I would say this adapter also appears to have no MSCAN support!

This happens with Adapters that mostly operate in heavy truck and heavy equipment and not in the automotive industry!
Ford is the only automotive line that uses MSCAN so there is likely not much incentive for these adapter companies to include the J2534-2 spec! The Heavy vehicle industries don't use it so many of their adapters will not support those protocols!

In Ford vehicles since about 2013-2016 Model Year, many modules have been moved onto networks called HSCAN 2 and HSCAN 3 and a network called Ican (DLC Pins 1 and 9) and Linear Interconnect(LIN) network which communicate over the MSCAN DLC Pins 3 and 11 from a Gateway module so with no MSCAN support from the adapter, FORScan will only read modules on the HSCAN network(DLC Pins 6 andd 14)!

Your best bet would be the vLinker FS(Lowest cost) or the Scantool OBDlink EX adapters!
