2018 Mondeo 2.0 TDCI biturbo ECT2 -40C

Hi

Forscan is reporting -40 degrees C reading from ECT2 sensor - but no DTC and struggling to work out if the engine coolant system actually has 2 sensors and if it does, where is it!

ECT1 readings normal.

Regen will start, so doesn't appear to be reliant on realistic reading for ECT2?

Help please!

Are you getting any fault codes?

Hi Dan. No fault codes currently. ECT2 and EGT14 showing -40C.

The car will also regen without issue.
