Unable to stream data / No ELM found

Post by mcali6301 »

I've been using Forscan on my S6 for about a week without any problems. I just bought a Samsung Tab A6 which is what I intended to use Forscan.

Using Forscan for Android v1.2.7 on both devices. I'm suing the OBDII MX Scantool

The problem is, on the tablet: When on dashboard running the PIDS, out of nowhere it will stop and display message "Unable to stream data, make sure the key is in the ON position". Sometimes clearing out the message and hitting PLAY again will work, other times, I have to swtich to another section such has ERRORS or LOG, go back to Dashboard and it works again for another 10 minutes and it just keeps repeating itself. Sometimes I'll just the "NO ELM device" message and I have to reconnect again.

Just for kicks, I used Forscan on the phone again to see if the same happens and it does NOT.

On the tablet, I tried disabling automatic updates on Google Play, turning off Sync in the wiFi menu, chose "scan only while wifi

Any insight on this? *I'm also in the process of opening a topic on thegalaxytabforum.com
