XL to Lariat cluster swap [Rear parking Assist disable? ]

I have a 2012 Ford F250 6.7 diesel and I recently swapped the the instrument cluster for a 2013 King Ranch display with a LCD screen. I simply unplugged the old dash a plugged in the new one. Everything works perfectly except the cluster will reset it's self after 10 sec (I.E. go black and then power on and show the "Built Ford tough screen")

Looking at FORscan I get the following DTC
- U0159 - Lost Communication With Parking Assist Control Module A

Now since the truck is an XL it is lacking this feature and I think that the BdyCM doesn't even have the built in PAM (Parking Assist Module) like the higher packages.

Is there away to disable the check for the PAM using FORscan? and if so would this fix the reset issue?

Don't know if it will fix the reset issue, but you can get rid of the DTC by disabling park assist in your as built data. There should be a spreadsheet somewhere to give you an idea of where the modifications need made.

Been looking around and have been able to find one spread sheet but cant find any park assist setting...

I believe the change would have to be in the BCM

UPDATE:
I was able to disable the Rear Park Assist DTC and all DCTs, however the cluster still resets its self.
I have tried changing the VIN in the BdyCM as I hear thought that the cluster may have have the old VIN stored.
This had no effect.

Having the same issue on my 2016. What values did you change to disable the park assist?

I would try to write the asbuilt per your vin to the cluster, Leave the BCM as it should be for your truck (except for the park aid delete)

Sorry to abandon this post guys...

So after some time I was able to get another cluster. It turns out that the 2011-2012 Clusters are not compatible with the 2012-2016 clusters. I am unsure what the difference is however, once I put in a 2011 cluster my issues went away.

If you guys still need some help with the Parking Aid and disabling let me know I can try and go back and remember what I did

yes the 2011-2012 clusters dont have the network that the 2013-2016 clusters rely on. thats why the reset every 10 seconds is because the cluster isnt seeing a network. also do you remeber the things you changed to turn off the PAM module?
