The inlet pressure, i believe the first 1bar is the atmospheric pressure?
And the boost pressure is somewhat 1.4 bar added, so in total 2.4bar or?
I have a problem mine is maxed out to 2.5bar and i get overboost?
(1.6tdci 2005 109hp)
After turbo change there is none ECU related there need to be done to calibrate?

Yes, according to the graph you provided, this PID shows absolute pressure in the intake manifold, which is 1 bar at idle. And the turbo gives the rest 1.5 bar.rapzak wrote: The inlet pressure, i believe the first 1bar is the atmospheric pressure?

There is a function to reset charge air cooler bypass valve position offset. An advice how to investigate the overboost problem from one of our users who is a professional diagnost (translation to English is our's):
First, you need check the turbo charger itself: disconnect a vacuum hose from the charger and make vacuum using a vacuum pump. The rod must traverse freely, with no jamming. Also it should maintain the vacuum pressure for enough amount of time – the actuator’s membrane is damaged very often, as a result the turbo charger cannot be managed at all.
Normally in this type of charger all the exhaust passes through the charger’s body. When the vacuum is applied, a bypass valve is opened and a part of exhaust is discharged. So all hoses and the valve itself need to be inspected thoroughly. The valve is a solenoid one, can be checked for vacuum leaks using the vacuum pump. Then supply 12V and make sure it is opened. Second hose should lead to atmosphere when no voltage is applied.
On the picture attached: 1 – vacuum, 2 – management, 3 – atmosphere to discharge the vacuum.
When 12V is supplied, the 1 and 2 must communicate. When no voltage is supplied, 2 and 3 must communicate. All other behavior means malfunction. Sometimes the intake at the end of 3 loses a breathability.

I have a Mazda3 MZR-CD 2 Litre diesel and had a problem with overboost and found that the vacuum hoses were not connected.
Maybe you should check the hoses, there are 2 hoses that go to the air filter box.

Hi. I have a similar problem. My engine is 1.6 tdci 109bhp. 2007. Ford focus.
After a turbocharger replacement i have no boost at all.
No dtc codes to show.
Turbo solenoid valve moves according to pcm commands.
Vacuum is present ~16in hg at idle.
However not sure when this solenoid valve should move (i changed only the core of turbocharger and didn't touch any of its settings assuming that it will work the same). Right now starts moving when ~2-3 in hg is aplied and reaches the max at about ~10-12 in hg. Are this values correct?
Boost is constantly around 1 bar no matter what...
