dont know how to post on here but here goes i got trouble with A 2005 DM2 CMAX the epb will lock but not unlock error code b2992 also got b1353 as well also showing a short on heater plug poss relay ? anyone got over this and had these troubles ?

I have ELM327 cable with no switch v1.3a i have a 2005 cmax dm2 and also have a elm327 basic obd2 hand held and it says bad connection so is the fault with the car and not the equipment it says un able to connect to vehicle ? it can connect to elm no problem but vehicle no :(
