Adapter ELS27 Stn Firmware update

Finally figured this out of why I couldn't flash my ELSv4 (blue).

You need the ELS27 Baudrate utility.

Run it and it should autodetect which port your adapter is (if not look in device manager). Press OPEN. It will show your current Baud, Serial Number and Firmware level. Change the baudrate to a lower number like 57600. Press SET, click OK and then CLOSE.

Now you can start the STN Firmware utility, choose Manual, the same COM port from before and 57600. It will flash! Afterwards go back to the ELS27 baudrate tool and check it. Also set it back to 2000000 (you may notice newer firmwares now let you set it up to 8000000 ... Forscan will warn you not to do this)

Fixed an INTERNAL ERROR caused by mismatching protocols in periodic messaging

This release also added a couple of new features and a change:

Added STIP command for ISO-14230 message parity
Added STIIAP command for ISO-14230 initialization address parity
Changed STIFI to keep ISO-14230 protocol open after successful init

Hello,

I have an original (not fake) ELS27v3 from els27.ru I bought this in 2017, and its been a few years since I've used it.
Am looking into updateing the firmware on it. I have never updated the firmware on it. I can understand there is a chance of bricking it, can someone suggest the newest/best version I can upgrade to.
