Can Anyone tell me why I would need to get an extended license to enable a trailer brake controller on a 2017 F150. I looked to see what installing the extended license involved and I'm a bit confused as to how to get the hardware ID?
Any help will be appreciated

Hi, I got the hardware ID, made the trial key, but when I click "load key" into ForScan it doesn't seem to work. FORScan asks to restart, but when I restart, it's still the standard license.

I am having the same issue. I have been looking and I cannot find a solution.
I have also manually added it to the registry to no avail.
Anyone have some insight?
