REMOTE START

Hi Andy I still have not received my lincoln key, so far my original fob is marked 434 once here will report my results and make a video of the process as I think there is little info on how to add keys and of course set up remote start.

My remote start is now working (albeit with the existing 2 keys disabled), again, big thanks for fordsmax for his help. If you struggle drop me a message and I will try and be as helpful to you as fordsmax has been to me

Hi !

Remote start the car ( Ford S-Max 2.0 TDCi 2017 PowerShift )
4Button Remote smart Key 433 or 434 MHZ DS7T-15K601-EF (please see ford etis )

To activate Remote Start, first you need a new key fob with start button (part # DS7T-15K601-EF for S-Max mk2 with 434 MHz).
Note ! remove the metal blanks from the keys, the car doors are closed and the handbrake deactivated.
Programming keys
Determine the backup slot of the passive key.
Place the first programmed key in the backup slot. Press the START / STOP button.
Wait for 4-5 seconds, then press the START / STOP button.
Extract the first programmed passive key.
Within 5 seconds, place the second programmed passive key in the backup slot, then press the START / STOP button.
Wait for 4-5 seconds, then press the STOP-STOP button.
Extract the second programmed key.
Within 5 seconds, place the unprogrammed passive key in the backup slot and press the START / STOP button.
Car doors lock and opened, lights blink
Congratulations on your new key being programmed !!!
Go to MyKeys menu and see how many keys are registered in the machine, by default it should be two, and with a new key - three.
Now use Forscan to change the asbuilt-data
BCM module- configuration parameters
• Remote start - enable
IPC module - configuration parameters
• Remote start - enable
• Remote start - climate settings- enable
• Remote start - front seat- enable (optional)
• Remote start - rear defrost – enable (optional)
• Remote start - steering feel – enable (optional)

some guides recommend
RTM module - configuration parameters
• don't change anything when the new key starts working immediately( old keys can also be used in the future )
• if the new key does not work immediately then change RTM module AsBuilt value 751-01-01 x2xx xxxx and reset the RTM, BCM and IPC module. The 2 original keys only work in the centre console.

Go to IPC menu and activate the "remote system"

Woow thanks for the feedback guys , its a shame original ones are not working( remote) , If its the same in my case I would order one more . One thing I allways forget to ask its where is the keytray in the smax?

The existing keys will still work but only if you change the RTM module value back to 1 and reset RTM, IPC and BCM, so if the new key stopped working you could easily change back to keep you mobile

I’ve just received my fob from Hong Kong, after checking several times that the part is Ds7t 15k601 ef. They’ve sent Ds7t 15k601 Cf. I can’t find any info on this. Let’s see if this works. Not looking good.

* closing the car without the handbrake
* put away the keys and open with the blade of one original key
*Once in the car put 1st original key in the tray ( Ive checked removing one of the original keys battery to be sure I was in the correct spot ) Start , after 5 secs again start
*2nd key , start ... 5 secs and start again

3rd NEW key , start... 5 secs , start and nothing happens

Any Idea ?

PS: between changing keys did not exceed 5 secs

PS2.0: my vehicle is a 2019 smax 2.0 ecoblue powershift 8gears ( new version ) if it makes any differenfe

Not sure you are following the procedure correctly, never 'start' the vehicle, you just press the start button to turn the ignition on (keep your foot off the footbrake so that the car does not start) for 5 seconds, then turn ignition off and replace the key in the backup slot within 10 seconds, then repeat proceedure

Yes I was doing it correctly , only ignition did not start the car.

I had the same issue with trying to program 2017 fusion. I watched a few videos to make sure I was doing it correctly. In one vide it says to hold the start button for a few seconds. That did the trick for me. It programmed one remote start key. Then I did the sequence again to program a second remote start key. So I had a total of four working keys. Two original and two with remote start. However the buttons on the remote start fobs didn’t work until I changed the RTM module to 902mhz module. Then the original key fob buttons didn’t work because they are 315mhz. However all key fobs will work to start the car in the backup slot.

Keep trying you will get it
