Support of J2534 (Pass-Thru) adapters in FORScan v2.2.*
Re: Support of J2534 (Pass-Thru) adapters in FORScan v2.2.*
I too have the VCM2 and cannot use it due to the firmware difference between bosch’s latest firmware and Ford’s integrated diagnostic software(IDS). After I downloaded bosch’s latest firmware from their website,I wasn’t able to use IDS anymore until I backdated the firmware to the version that IDS is programmed to use. I’ve also got a USB-Link™ 2: Bluetooth Edition, Autoenginuity SP03, IC4COM, & Nav-Link that I’ve yet to try. Does anybody know if any of these others work with Forscan?
Re: Support of J2534 (Pass-Thru) adapters in FORScan v2.2.*
Hi all,
I'm using a PEAK PCAN-USB adapter with up-to-date passthru driver. Can high and low are connected to HS can bus of Ford Mondeo 2001+.
J2534 adapter is found in ForScan (Adapter: PCANPT32) but it does not connect to vehicle (no communication, check that ignition is on).
Any ideas how to get that working?
Best regards!

Which OBD port would you recommend?

Hello!
I have a genuine AVDI diagnostic device https://abrites.com/en/products/avdi
I tried to use an AVDI device and FORScan software Ford Mondeo MY03. I selected AVDI as the device that was in the menu, but the program did not recognize the car. What did I do wrong? Can't I get in my car with this device & software?
EDIT 26.1:
I bought an J1850 adapter for AVDI and also tried to connect to the car with this one. I checked the settings again.

The program finds the car, but ... no connection is found.

A recent test with the new Ford VCM 3 and setting it as a Pass-Thru device worked out quite well.
FORScan and the device will connect via USB and WiFi.
