Disable brake pad warning message

Post by vanduara37 »

2014 Transit custom, have bypassed all 4 sensors by soldering wires together, "Brake pad warning message" still on.
Forscan gives option to enable or disable brake pad warning message but when selecting to disable it I still get warning message in dash. Any solution available ?

As far as I can see the brake pad sensor grounds itself to the brake disk when pads are low so all the sensor wires should be open line / disconnected?.

They should be closed loop. they open loop once the pad minimum thickness is reached...

Wonder if a cable is damaged reporting open loop? check to see if the sense wire is good and at a reasonable ohm value

Do you think if i connect bl/gn wire from BCM to earth it will fool the BCM to think the circuit is complete ?

Worth a try, if that doesn't work then it could be internal BCM fault (faulty pull-up resistor).
