I also purchased remote key from mentioned seller, and i can confirm that range is very poor. Range is maybe 10m. Remote start is hit or miss, i would say 50/50 chance that remote start is successful. Buttons are not as nice as on original remote. And when you look at PCB (green board with buttons and chip and antennas ) inside key, it is different design than genuine key. PCB in this chinese key is not potted against moisture, i also see that as negative.
Range of original remote is over 100m.
I don;'t know if this will help you in any way, but here's the link to the key I bought AND successfully programmed as third admin key AND got Remote Start to work.

Thanks @ferdideboer,Did you buy the original or aftermarket and does the key work from a good distance?

Also did you have to change RTM module AsBuilt value 751-01-01 to x2xx xxxx?

Thanks
Rob
Hey Rob,

From what I remember the key is aftermarket and I can confirm it works from at least 40 meters.
I did not have to change the RTM module, because the two original keys would work like the should 👍🏼

Hi all, I have finally enabled remote start on my Ecosport 2018, but everytime I remote start the car I get error code PCM P166A:00-68 and PCM U415:00-68. Anyone have an idea what´s the problem and how to figure it out? Thanks

I found this PATS/RKE Dealer Aid report that has some pretty good instructions for programming PATS/RKE IA keys.

Hi,

I have the following problem.

I have successfully programmed the remote start key in the vehicle. After changing the IPC and BCM, I can now lock and unlock the doors and drive with the key. only the remote start does not work. As soon as I change the asbuild setting in the RTM module, the key no longer works.

What am I doing wrong?
