2019 Lincoln MKZ Hybrid BECM configuration
I'm new to the forum. Have a 2019 Lincoln MKZ hybrid with 12K miles. I'm the second owner. I'm running Forscan 2.4.7 beta and have also run 2.4.55. The OBDII adapter is the 327 with the HS/MS switch and USB plug into my Windows Laptop. I am trying to find a way to change the battery age like other people have done on earlier Fusion and MKZ hybrids in the BECM module. But the BECM on this MKZ does not show a configuration. (Screen shots are available if it will help). It only shows RESET and BATTERY VOLTAGE. No CONFIGURATION of AS BUILT. On the BECMB module, it does have an "As Built" configuration. But not on the BECM.
Regarding the battery voltage, and the HV battery is fully charged, it showS 3.6 volt +_ .02 volts in all 72 cells, which is good. The range is suppose to be 2.0V to 4.3V per cell. So a bit low. I'm sure this is affecting my fuel economy and I drive in ECO mode ALL the time. The absolute best I can get is maybe around 38.2-38.3 MPG. Most of the time it's between 35 and 36.5 mpg.
Can anyone in the group point me to where in the BECM or even the BECMB the battery age is located and how to change the age from the present age, which I'm sure is 4 yrs, back to 1 year? I'm hoping by changing the battery age back to 1 yr the gas mileage will go back up to where it should be; like 40-41 mpg. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I am confident the age of your batteries is not the issue. Right now my fuel economy is down because it's so hot that I run the AC more or less constantly. If you are in the same boat, this is where you loose the MPGs.

I live in Florida. We essentially run the A/C all the time.
Do you know where I would change the battery age in Forscan though if I wanted to try it?

Ford and their algorithms are not and never will be the same between models when calculating battery life and expectancy with adaptations.
They do this to save their "behinds".
The only method on this site is to capture screen images and post them.
There are two methods that work: Microsoft Snipping Tool and ShareX Windows Snipping Tool
Works with W7, W10 and W11

My setup The screen captures with: Scans, Faults and the Modules Tab offer detailed information about a specific model.
Forscan has the ability to configure and program. This is also called "Adaptation"
Capturing those screens and depending on the Year, Make, Trim level, Engine Transmission offers: resets, adaptations and simple programming.
Those screen captures offer information as to "what is available" within the CAN network of that specific model.
Use this icon and create the captures with the information available. "Configuration and Programming Tab". A word of advice. Cheap chinese ELM 327 devices with the HS and MS speed switches are garbage and should not be used any longer. They are unstable junk and you are your own warrant company - and not a debate! A USB device is far safer to adapt and program but also use the OBDLink MX + with a J2534 device(s) that are highly stable.
Therefore, Year, Make, Model, Trim Level and scans with captures / identifies the vehicle with relevant data.
Information is the key to a knowledge base and learning.

Thank you for the information. I did purchase the best 327 adapter with the USB port as recommended on this forum and use it to attach the OBDII to my Windows laptop. I'll download the app you recommended and get a few screen shots.

It looks better when rotated without flipping my screen.
Scrolling down a slight offers more adaptation information for the BdyCM.

Re: 2019 Lincoln MKZ Hybrid BECM configuration
As can be seen in the screen shot, the BECM does not have a configuration line. Is it possible the hybrid battery age is in a different module’s configuration?

Read the post above, scroll down for more information highlighting all of BdyCM lines / adaptations.

Re: 2019 Lincoln MKZ Hybrid BECM configuration
I read the post sir. But I’m curious what the Bdycm module has to do with the hybrid battery?

You need to open Bdycm module to see what options Ford has programmed.
