Re: firmware doesn't download
Is your extended licence a current PAID 1 year or lifelong licence? If it's a free extended licence or expired, it won't download the files.Verweijen wrote: Tue Aug 06, 2024 9:20 am hello

If you're in a country that's blocked, it won't download the files.
You must also have an internet connection

Re: firmware doesn't download
Hi,
I've the same issue there but even trickier.
I don't have the PCM firmware update option available but only the PCM (As-built). I'm running the latest available Forscan version (2.3.62) with vLinker FS (up to date too).
I've the "free" 2 months extended licence activated and I'd like to know if it would change anything to pay for the extended licence.
Also I don't know where to find if the PCM firmware update of my car would be supported by Forscan latest beta versions.
Anyway, I'm lost and don't want to get charged 100€ by the local stealer to find out that there's no firmware update available in orde to fix the BST 27/2012 (snags on the original ford mapping of Siemens injectors that leads to instabilities at idle and at low charge around 1700rpm)
So is there is by any chance a list of firmware updates concerning my PCM ? Can I get the option to see it with a full paid extended licence?
Cheers for that

Re: firmware doesn't download
You need to have a current paid licence to do PCM firmware updates.
This will give you access to a hidden section of the forum where more information on firmware flashing is available & a download link for the 2.4.beta version required for firmware flashing. You must have a current paid licence to be able to download available firmware files.

Re: firmware doesn't download
Allright,
Thanks for the tips.
So you confirm that the free trial "extended licence" isn't showing the full capabilities of forscan ?
Do you know where can I check if my PCM firmware update is available ?
Thank you again for your help
Raf

Answered in the previous post....you must have a paid licence. Read it again & if you decide to pay the tiny fee, make sure you read the information in the hidden beta private forum so you fully understand what it can do, the risks involved & make sure you're using a recommended cable.Raf-BzH wrote: Tue Sep 10, 2024 9:06 am Allright,

I tried today and successfully found out that my PCM is up to date from Ford database point of view.
I also found my car is indirectly concerned by the following TSB :
TSB 27/2012 published 5/14/12
Subject/Concern: Excessive combustion noise and or hesitation during light load acceleration with the engine at high operating temperature
Model:
Focus 2004.75 (07/2004–07/2011) - stage 4 emission level only Build Date: 07/2008-12/2009
Build Code: 8D-9E
Assembly Plant: Saarlouis and Valencia
Engine: 1.8L Duratorq-TDCi (Lynx) Diesel
C-MAX 2003.75 (06/2003–07/2010) - stage 4 emission level only Build Date: 07/2008-12/2009
Build Code: 8D-9E beware...
Assembly Plant: Valencia beware...too
Engine: 1.8L Duratorq-TDCi (Lynx) Diesel
Mondeo 2007.5 (02/2007–) - stage 4 emission level only Build Date: 07/2008-12/2009
Build Code: 8D-9E
Assembly Plant: Genk
Engine: 1.8L Duratorq-TDCi (Lynx) Diesel
Transit/Tourneo Connect 2002.5 (06/2002–) - stage 4 emission level only Build Date: 05/2008-01/2010
Build Code: 8C-AL
Assembly Plant: Kocaeli
Engine: 1.8L Duratorq-TDCi (Lynx) Diesel
Markets: All
Summary
If a 1.8L Duratorq-TDCi (Lynx) engine vehicle of the stated build periods, is noted for excessive combustion noise and or hesitation during light load acceleration with the engine at high operating temperature, please check the fuel injector nozzle part number. If the fuel injector nozzle part number end in 3, revised calibrations have been released to improve the fuel injector nozzle performance. These calibrations should not be applied if the fuel injector nozzle part number ends in 2.
Item Description
- Inspect the part number of the fuel injector nozzle. If the part number end in 3, update the PCM calibration. New calibrations have been released via FordEtis IDS to compensate the fuel injector nozzle loss of performance.
NOTE: These calibrations should not be applied if the fuel injector nozzle part number ends in 2.
1. Reprogram the PCM using IDS. (or in my case forscan v2.4.14 Beta and vLinker FS v2.3.02 after having dowloaded 7M51BPA.PHF from http://tune-space.com/index.php?p=ford_focus2)
C-MAX 2003.75
1.8L Duratorq-TDCi (Lynx) Diesel PCM calibration chain (12A650) - Increased energy PCM calibration
C-MAX 2003.75 7M51-AU* (e.g. 7M51-AUK) update to 7M51-BPA or later
Focus 2004.75
1.8L Duratorq-TDCi (Lynx) Diesel PCM calibration chain (12A650) - Increased energy PCM calibration
7M51-BC* (e.g. 7M51-BCG) update to 7M51-BNA or later
Mondeo 2007.5
1.8L Duratorq-TDCi (Lynx) Diesel PCM calibration chain (12A650) - Increased energy PCM calibration
92kW/125PS with 5-Speed Manual Transmission 7G91-P* (e.g. 7G91-PJ) update to 7G91-AEA or later
92kW/125PS with 6-Speed Manual Transmission 7G91-Y* (e.g. 7G91-YK) update to 7G91-AGA or later
92kW/125PS with 5-Speed Manual Transmission Econetic 8G91-J* (e.g.8G91-JC) update to 7G91-AFA or later
Transit /Tourneo Connect 2002.5
1.8L Duratorq-TDCi (Lynx) Diesel(*) PCM calibration chain (12A650) - Increased energy PCM calibration
55kW/75PS without Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) 7T11-H* (e.g. 7T11-HP) update to 7T11-BA or later
66kW/90PS without Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) 7T11-D* (e.g. 7T11-DP) update to 7T11-EA or later
55kW/75PS without Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) 9T11-H* (e.g. 9T11-HJ) update to 9T11-JA or later
66kW/90PS without Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) 9T11-GJ* (e.g. 9T11-GJ) update to 9T11-NA or later
(*) Turbocharger with fixed turbine geometry only.
My PCM runs by 7M51-AUK and my injectors nozzels PN end by 3, my car has all the symptoms described in the summary BUT the assembly plant is in Saarlouis (WF0..) the build code is AL.
What next ? should I update and see ?
that's a triky question...
