Rotunda VCM3 with FORScan?

Post by ELCouz »

Hi,

I have a genuine VCM3, can I use that with FORScan?

I don't see much mention of this adapter let alone in the official adapter guide here ---> viewtopic.php?f=4&t=26219

Yes It works same as the VCM2! You will need to get and install the Latest Ford VCI manager as FORScan uses the same manager as Ford IDS/FJDS/FDRS!

If you have one of the above Ford Diagnostics already Installed(The Ford install will either install it or prompt you to download and install it) and working with the VCM3 you should already have a VCI manager installed under a "Bosch" folder in your start menu!

Make sure your Connections under the Gear Icon/Connection Tab are set to J2534 under Connection Type and Ford-VCM-III is set in "J2534 Adapter Type"

You can get the latest VCI manager here(VCI Software 1.0.1.18) if you do not already have it:https://www.motorcraftservice.com/diagn ... goryId=276

Hope that answers your question?
